The international solidarity movements for occupied territories are spread out across multiple countries, languages and contexts. This presents challenges with coordination, cooperation and many groups working in isolation and not benefitting from each other’s experiences.

We are mapping out all the groups working in solidarity with occupied people’s starting with Western Sahara & Palestine and work to introduce them to each other.

Our hope is that this will lead to closer cooperation, coordination and more effective international campaigns – where any individual or group with a good campaign idea can have easy access to the solidarity movement and start organizing. It will also enable new people in solidarity movements to easily find their local group to join

We only map the public solidarity groups that have an online presence and benefit from being easily accessible. The occupiers are naturally interested in initiatives like this and most likely have far more extensive mappings of our movements already. If we can google – so can they

Theory of Change

The aim of this campaign is to facilitate cooperation, coordination and make the international solidarity movement develop closer relations to each other as well as making them more easily approachable by people interested in joining the movement

We believe this will lead to more effective campaigns, communications, strategizing and an increase in membership for the groups working for a world free from occupation

How you can help the campaign

We’re looking for more people who can help us research and reach out to different solidarity groups around the world and help us understand which groups are active in various countries. We then need help to upload them to the website.

You can do this directly through the international solidarity groups page or joining our team
